Do I need a passport?

You will need a passport of any overseas destination.

What time do I need to arrive at the airport?

This varies with each airline, please ask us when booking your flights.
Domestic flights check in at least 1 hour prior to departure.
International flights check in 2 – 3 hours prior to departure.

How early do I need to book my travel/holiday?

To get a good price, here are some suggested advance booking times:
Events eg. Olympic games, world cup - 8 - 11 months in advance
School Holidays 9 – 11 months in advance
Christmas 9 – 11 months in advance
Statutory Holidays 6 months in advance
The closer you book to your travel dates the more expensive the fare becomes and the less likely you are to travel on the days you want to go.

What are the holiday and school holiday seasons?

Christmas and January school holidays – December to January
Waitangi Day – early February
Easter and school holidays – mid April
Anzac Day – April 25th
Queens Birthday – early June
School holidays– mid July
School holidays– mid October
Labour Day – late October
Also consider the holidays of your overseas destinations, so that your travel doesn't coinside with the children on their holidays.

What amount of luggage can I take?

This varies with each airline, please ask us when booking your flights.
International Checkin Baggage: 10 – 30kg
First Class – 40kg
Business Class – 30kg
Economy – 23kg
International Carryon Baggage: 7kg

What travel insurance do I need?

Loss of Deposits Insurance
This is a cheap insurance to protect your holiday payments in case circumstances prevent you from travelling, eg. an injury preventing travel, flights cancelled, pregnancy.

Essentials Insurance
This is an entry level travel insurance with a lower value of coverage.

Comprehensive Insurance
This insurance give you a greater degree of protection including – strikes and hijacking. Also a higher value of coverage and a higher personal liability benefits.
